hey Brittany! That’s awesome that you got one, they are so fun! I would just drop off my film at Iris and have them develop it. It can get pretty costly :/ I haven’t tried using 35mm film with the Holga, only 120mm. I watched a tutorial on using 35mm and it seemed like more work then I feel like doing at this time. One day I’ll try it! Have fun with your toy, and post your photos!!

ANYWAY! i don’t know if you still use this thing, alanna, but i’m buying a holga today and i had a few questions! do you develop the film yourself… and do you prefer 35 or 120 film?
i’m so excitedddddd.

Thanks Ryan! Yes it’s totally like seeing the world through different eyes when we take photos of the same place with different types of cameras :] I’ve got to get some more Holga film pronto! also I really want to try using 35mm in my Holga

Great series! I was going to comment on one picture, but I can’t choose a favorite. I love the first two, they have a vintage picture kind of feel. Is the third one a shot of the fire? Nice composition, I like all the textures that you can find in it. The fourth one with the tire tracks has nice contrast in the shot, with nice hard edges. The one of the group around the fire is ghostly, and I dig it. I really like the high red in the earmuff picture, it really draws attention, and there is a subtle double exposure that makes you look twice! As always, I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Another set of rad pictures! Out of the three, I like the first one the most. The blue and red really play off of each other and it works well.
